Advertisement Poster Planning
This is my planning for my advertisement poster. I have chosen to make the artists name the biggest font to emphasise the artists image and persona to help appeal to my target audience. This is a very conventional feature of posters especially in the genre of pop as frequently the artist is the most important part of the poster. This is further reinforced by my usage of the main artist as being the main image in my poster. The idea of this is to create continuity between all three of my texts of the main artist being the same person and to create a successful image to the audience. I have also added only the important details about the album on the poster such as the date of release and album name. This is the main information the poster is trying to get across to the reader as it is trying to promote the album and music video to make as much money as possible. I have stuck to the main colour scheme of pink and green to represent the theme of summer that my music video is about to help keep the continuity. I have chosen to use a relatively close up shot with the intention of using direct gaze to draw in the audience and engage the reader to make my poster more eye-catching. This works well for the artist and audience and shows an interaction between the two.

Digipak Planning
This is my design that I am planning on creating for my digipak. I have tried to keep to digipak convention whilst successfully still appealing to my target audience. Also, I have taken great consideration the continuity between my music video, digipak and poster.

Props
"LUSH LIFE" signs:
I have made the 8 letters that spell out "Lush Life" (the name of my song) for my cast members to hold up. These props will be used in sections of my music video where I am planning on creating a home video type idea. I will speed up the video and have all cast members just messing around and having fun together to give the idea of having fun in the summer holidays which fits the theme and story of my song. I have decided to go for the homemade, less professional look with the signs to make it seem more natural and like the girls who feature in my video have made them. This fits in with the idea of a home made movie. I made the sings by cutting out 8 squares of cardboard all the same size and then wrapping them in white paper. I then spray painted them with pink and green which are the main theme colours for my music video. Once the spray paint had dried I printed out the letters size 640 in font AR JULIAN in black and stuck them onto the signs.
These are the smoke bombs I am planning on using in my music video which I ordered off Amazon, I have chosen the colours green and red as they are the colours of my music video and red was the closet to pink that would have a dramatic effect and be seen relatively clearly on camera.

Storyboard
This is my story board that goes through the phrases and sections of my music video that I am planning to film. However, I haven't gone through each shot individually because I am planning to see how it works/ plans out on the days of filming and I have allowed for flexibility if my original ideas don't look as effective as I would like meaning I can easily change them. I can also add in other ideas that occur during filming because this frequently happens when you film videos with other actors with different ideas. Subsequently, my storyboard is giving me the overall ideas and picture for my music video and it shows the general shots I am planning on using so everything fits together without seeming random and off plot. Transitions will also be decided later on in the editing stages of my music video so it isn't set in stone and changes are available to be made depending on what looks effective on the editing software and how the individual scenes and bits of footage pan out as I am going for natural, clean editing rather than majorly dramatic.

Crew
Caroline Shaw (me) will be the only crew member doing all elements of the filming process as I have chosen to do my coursework on my own rather than in a group. This means I will be doling all the filming and setting up roles myself. I have chosen this because then I have the control to make the filming look as professional as I possibly can without having to rely on others who don't have as high, professional standards as me.

Introducing Cast
Main Artist (Kylie Monroe): Charlotte Glover is a 17 year old A-level student at The Downs School who studies Biology, health & social care and Drama. She also enjoys trampolining outside of school and has participated in several dance/ drama related extra curricular activities at school too. I have previously used Charlotte for various media projects so it seemed to sensible to use her again as she was used to how the process of being involved in someones media project. Also, as she is a drama student it means she is very confident in-front of the camera which is ideal for a main artist in my music video. Furthermore, her dance experience meant she would fit my ideas for my music video and she is within my target audience meaning she is appropriate as a role model for my target audience. Charlotte also studies at the same school as me making it easier and more practical to rehearse and meet up for filming my music video.
Backing dancer 1: Jess Martin is also an A-level Student at The Downs School who studies English Language, Geography and Sociology. Jess also did an AS in Drama and has a lot of experience in performing making her a more confident character infront of the camera. She also has a bit of dance experience meaning she picked up the choreography relatively quickly with excellent technique. Furthermore, as Jess also studies at the same school as me she was a highly practical choice.
